How can I book a hair appointment at Ruby & Clover?
You can book online 24/7 through our book now tab on our website or call and leave a voicemail at (248) 651-1331. You’ll receive email confirmations and reminders automatically upon booking. A credit card is required to secure all appointments.
How soon can I book an appointment?
We recommend booking 2–3 weeks in advance, especially for evening or weekend appointments. Online appointments are available three hours to six months in advance.
Can I choose my stylist?

Do I need a consultation first?
We always do a consultation prior to services. However, if you are looking to have a color correction, color change, extensions or a bridal appointment we prefer you to book a separate consultation appointment. The appointment cost is $30, you will receive a $30 credit to be applied to your actual service appointment.

How do I find pricing?
Pricing can be found while booking an appointment online. Click the “Book Now” tab, select the service needed, then choose the professional to see the cost. Final costs may vary based on stylist, time, length, density and result
Do you offer services for children?
Yes, we offer children’s haircuts for kids 11 and under. 12 years old and up fall under adult pricing.

Cancellations & Policies

What is your cancellation policy?
  • Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the scheduled service total
  • No-call/no-shows: 100% of the scheduled service total
  • Those fees must be paid prior to rebooking any appointments
  • Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may result in rescheduling with a full-service charge
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Follow the link in your original booking email, leave a voicemail at 248-651-1331 or text 833-461-5496.
What if I’m unhappy with my results?
We want you to love your hair. If something feels off, please let us know within 7 days so we can make adjustments.

New Guest Information

What should I expect at my first visit?

Free parking in back lot or on side streets. We use the back door as our main entrance. Check in at the iPad at our front desk, enjoy a complimentary beverage, and browse our boutique. Your stylist will start with a thorough consultation to understand your hair history, goals, lifestyle, and maintenance needs.

What if I don’t know what to book?
Book a consultation, call 248-651-1331 or text us a picture of your current hair and your inspiration at 248-780-7121. We’ll guide you to the right service and stylist.
How long do appointments usually take?
  • Haircut: 30–60 minutes
  • Color + Style: 1.5–2.5 hours
  • Color + Cut + Style: 2–3 hours
  • Blonding + Style: 2–3 hours
  • Blonding + Style + Cut: 2.5–3.5 hours
  • Services with Apprentice and Emerging
  • Artists may take longer due to mentorship and education.

Color & Hair Treatment Services

What hair color brands do you use?
We use L’Oréal Professionnel and Keune Professional for healthy, vibrant, and long-lasting results. Both products are ammonia free.
Do you offer color correction services?
Yes. These require a consultation first to assess your current hair and set expectations. Our team specializes in corrective work and healthy transitions.
What in-salon treatments do you offer?
We offer Luxury Milbon Treatments - Repair, Anti-Friz, Moisture, and Reawaken; L’Oréal Powermix – Vitamino, ProLonger, Blondifier and Metal Detox; and Malibu clarifying and detox treatments. Your stylist will recommend what’s best for your hair’s needs.
What’s a gloss?
It is used to enhance or correct tone. A gloss adds subtle color and shine, neutralizes unwanted tones (like brassiness) usually used after blonding services. We offer a clear gloss that adds shine with no color.
Do you have experience working with hair loss, thinning or shedding hair?
Absolutely. We work with a local dermatologist specializing in hair restoration. Our stylists are trained to work with all hair types, including hair that’s fine, thinning, or experiencing shedding. We take a gentle, thoughtful approach to protect the integrity of your hair while creating volume, fullness, and styles that boost your confidence. We also offer treatments and product recommendations designed to support scalp health and strengthen fragile strands.
Do you trim men's facial hair?
We do not currently offer men's facial services

Can I shop without a hair appointment?
Yes! Our boutique is open during business hours. We carry luxury haircare and curated lifestyle products—perfect for gifts or self-care.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes—both in-salon and online. Gift cards can be used for services or retail purchases. They cannot be used for gratuity. Online you will find them under book now – gift cards.

Extensions

Do you offer hair extensions?
Yes. We offer multiple extension methods and always begin with a consultation to match the method, color, and investment to your needs. A non-refundable deposit is required to order hair.
Do you provide bridal?
Yes! We offer in-salon bridal styling and on-location bridal services. For weddings, we recommend booking 6–9 months in advance.
Is there a fee for on-location bridal services?
Yes, there is a $30 upcharge per person plus a drive time fee.

I’m in beauty school—can I apply?
Absolutely! The best time to apply is when you are at 600 – 1000 hours. Visit our Join the Team page and submit your resume, video and all of your social media handles. We’ll follow up to schedule a shadow shift so you can experience our culture in person. Our hands-on Emerging Artist Program is designed for licensed stylists ready to grow behind the chair. It includes weekly education, one-on-one mentorship, and a clear growth path for new stylists.
Do you offer benefits?
Yes we do! 30 hours is considered a full-time schedule. We offer 401K, health bonuses, advanced education opportunities, paid time off and a clear career map.

Philanthropy & Values

Do you support a nonprofit?
Yes! Ruby & Clover proudly partners with Our Daughters International. Our Daughters International is an organization that helps rescue and empower young women from trafficking through education and career training. They have grown to be the largest chain in the country of Nepal. We support their salon company called Beauties & Bros by providing business development and hairdressing training. Payments, Parking & General Info

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and personal checks. There is a $35 fee for returned checks.
Is there a credit card fee?
Yes
Do you accept tips on cards?
Yes—tips can be added to your card at checkout in a separate transaction or left in cash or check.
Is there parking at the salon?
Yes. Free parking is available in the back lot as well as on side streets.
How do I get to Ruby & Clover?

From the North (Rochester Hills, Lake Orion, Auburn Hills, etc.)

  1. Take I-75 South toward Detroit.
  2. Exit at M-59 East (Exit 77) toward Rochester.
  3. Continue on M-59 for about 6 miles, then take the exit for Rochester Road / M-150 North.
  4. Head north on Rochester Road for about 4 miles.
  5. Ruby & Clover is located at 907 N. Main Street, just north of Downtown Rochester on the right-hand side.

From the South (Troy, Sterling Heights, Detroit, etc.)

  1. Take I-75 North toward Flint.
  2. Exit at M-59 East (Exit 77) toward Rochester.
  3. Continue on M-59 for about 6 miles, then take the exit for Rochester Road / M-150 North.
  4. Head north on Rochester Road for about 4 miles.
  5. Ruby & Clover is located at 907 N. Main Street, just north of Downtown Rochester on the right-hand side.
